DoAide Code

Free code editor online (2026)

Sometimes you need to write, run or clean up a piece of code and you are nowhere near your editor: a lab PC, a locked-down office laptop, a friend's machine, a tablet. DoAide Code's tools together make a complete online code editor that needs no account and installs nothing — type code with syntax highlighting, run it, format it, diff it, and share it with a short link.

The editor

Every code box on the site is a real editor, not a bare textarea: line numbers, live syntax colors for 17+ languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL, Go, Rust, Java and more), auto-indent on Enter, Tab indentation, three color themes, and keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl/Cmd+Enter runs). On phones it keeps a 16px font so iOS never zooms the page.

Run code in the browser

The code playground executes what you type, right in the page: JavaScript runs natively in a sandboxed frame, Python runs on Pyodide (CPython compiled to WebAssembly). Console output, warnings and errors stream into an output panel. Nothing is uploaded — the sandbox cannot even see this site's own data.

Share what you wrote

Done writing? Share code stores the snippet and gives you a short link like code.doaide.com/s/aB3xY9kQ — syntax highlighted for whoever opens it, with one-click paths into the AI tools. Or generate an embeddable widget for a blog or README.

How it compares in 2026

Classic online editors (CodePen, JSFiddle, OneCompiler) are great for front-end demos and competitive programming, but most gate features behind accounts and none pair the editor with free AI review. Cloud IDEs (Replit, CodeSandbox, StackBlitz) carry whole projects — more power, more setup, sign-up required. DoAide Code sits at the fast end: open a URL, type, run, share. Frequently asked questions

Is this online code editor really free?

Yes. The editor, playground, formatter, diff, regex and JSON tools are free without an account. The AI tools are free too, under fair-use rate limits.

Which languages can it run?

The playground runs JavaScript (natively) and Python (via WebAssembly). The editor highlights 17+ languages, and the AI tools read all of them.

Does my code get uploaded?

Not unless you ask: the playground and utilities run entirely in your browser. Only the AI tools send the snippet you paste, and Share code stores a snippet when you create a link.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Yes — every tool is responsive, the editor keeps a 16px font on phones so the page never zooms, and share links open anywhere.
